Referral Information for Faculty and Staff

Welcome to ESF’s new referral website. In the links below, you can refer a student for assistance, report student misconduct/academic integrity, or submit a bias incident report. The referral will be reviewed and directed to the appropriate staff for follow-up.

Important Note

Refer students of concern who may be in distress or need additional support. Examples may include, but are not limited to: a student whose physical and/or personal wellbeing is of concern, behaviors that are inappropriate in a classroom setting, or difficulty adjusting to college life.

 

Report potential violations of the ESF Code of Student Conduct.

Report potential academic dishonesty, including, but not limited to, cheating, plagiarism, and inappropriate collaboration.

 

Report incidents of bias, bigotry, or hate that occur on our campus or in off-campus settings that impact ESF.

 

Report potential incidents of sexual and related misconduct, including sexual harassment, sexual assault, stalking or dating/domestic violence, that may violate university policies.

Refer a Student of Concern

 

A staff member in the Office of the Dean of Students will triage the report and assign for follow-up

  • Student gets connected to counseling
  • Student learns about resources & support services
  • Student learns about academic options

Report Student Misconduct

Staff in Community Standards will review report and follow-up as appropriate

  • Staff have an educational conversation with student
  • Conduct board/hearing
  • Sanctions are assigned

Report Academic Dishonesty

Staff in Community Standards will review report and follow-up as appropriate

  • Staff follow-up with faculty and student to discuss allegations

Bias Incident Report

The Title IX Coordinator & Affirmative Action Officer will review the report

  • Staff create an educational opportunity for those engaged in the bias incident
  • Referral to student conduct process or other appropriate process

Refer Title IX or Sexual Misconduct Incident

The Title IX Coordinator will review the report

  • Referral to student conduct process or other appropriate process
  • Staff meet with complainant to discuss accommodations or supportive measures
