Personal Statement
I am currently pursuing my PhD in Environmental Science at SUNY ESF, where my research focuses on integrating remote sensing, GIS, UAV technology, and machine learning to advance forest health monitoring. Specifically, I investigate how these tools can be used to predict tree recovery or decline following disturbances such as spongy moth infestations. Through this work, I aim to develop scalable, data-driven methods that improve forest management decisions and contribute to sustainable ecosystem resilience.

Graduate Research Topic
Assessing forest recovery in New York: using remote sensing tools to assess tree health following disturbance and restoration.
