Mighty Oaks Soccer Splits Pair of Games with Canton

The Mighty Oaks men's and women's soccer teams both traveled to Canton Sept. 10 with the women winning and the men losing in a shutout to the SUNY Canton Kangaroos.

The women came out strong with three goals in the first 25 minutes. All three goals were scored through the creative combined play of senior Kaley Donovan, with services to freshman Bridget Cuddihy. Cuddihy netted a hat trick and has been nominated for U.S. Collegiate Athletic Association Player of the week honors.

The Mighty Oaks stayed solid and finished up with a 3-2 win

The women next face Elmira College at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Onondaga Community College.

The men's team played a fast, technical SUNY Canton team and was defeated 2-0.

The Mighty Oaks will host a Hudson Valley Men's Athletic Conference Conference power, the Culinary Institute of America, 1 p.m. Sept. 18 at Onondaga Community College.
