Scalisi Named Head Coach of Mighty Oaks Soccer Teams
Adam Scalisi was named head coach of the Mighty Oaks men's and women's soccer teams.
He takes over the reigns held by Dan Ramin who led both teams since their varsity inception in 2009.
During his six seasons as head coach, Ramin led the women's team to a 73-21-5 overall
record, five USCAA tournament appearances and one USCAA soccer finals appearance in
2016. As coach of the men's team, Ramin accumulated a 62-37-6 record, three USCAA
tournament appearances and an HVIAC title in 2016.
Ramin also coached dozens of USCAA All-American and Academic All-American student-athletes
during his tenure as head coach. He was the USCAA's Women's Soccer Coach of the Year in 2014 and won the HVIAC Coach
of the Year in 2015, 2016 and 2017.
Scalisi, who has been assistant coach for both teams the past three seasons, played
center back under Ramin from 2010-14 and earned a master's in science degree from
ESF in 2018.
"I could not be more proud of the program Coach Ramin allowed me to be a part of as
a player and then as a coach," said Scalisi, "I'm looking forward to carrying on his
tradition of success. Without Dan's commitment to student-athletes at ESF, none of
us would have had the platform to experience the successes all of our programs have
seen."
Ramin will focus his attention on expanding the Mighty Oaks athletics program as director
of athletics.
