ESF UP Supports Special Olympics
Members of ESF's University Police are teaming up with Dunkin' Donuts for the Seventh Annual "Cops on Top" event to raise money for Special Olympics 6 to 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 5.
ESF officers will join members of the Syracuse Police Department at the Dunkin' Donuts on South Salina Street along with Special Olympics athletes collecting donations to support the athletes. While you're grabbing a cup of joe, Chief Tom LeRoy said people can check out the police cars and a drone on display, and meet McGruff the Crime Dog.
Those who donate will receive a coupon for a free donut. People contributing $20 or more will receive a Cops on Top T-shirt. In 2017, 36 participating locations raised nearly $69,000.
