ESF Hosts Spring Career and Internship Fair Feb. 12
SYRACUSE, N.Y. — Feb. 9, 2026 — The SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry (ESF) will host its Career and Internship Fair from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 12, bringing together corporate, government, and non-profit organizations that offer environmentally focused careers. The fair provides students with opportunities to connect directly with employers recruiting for permanent positions, internships, and seasonal roles.
“More than a recruitment event, this fair reflects our mission in action,” said John Turbeville, director of career services and corporate engagement. “Bringing together employers and students to build futures, strengthen communities, and invest in the next generation of environmental leaders.”
This year’s fair will feature more than 90 employer organizations, many of which are sending ESF alumni who now recruit on behalf of their companies.
“Employers know that ESF students arrive ready to work,” said ESF President Joanie Mahoney. “Our students gain real-world experience throughout their time at ESF, and it shows—they’re prepared, capable, and ready to make a difference. It’s no surprise that so many of our alumni return to recruit the next generation of environmental leaders.”
A professional photographer will be on site from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. to provide free headshots for students’ LinkedIn profiles and professional websites.
Students can find additional resources on the ESF Office of Career Services webpage, including résumé tips, interview guidance, job offer evaluation, salary negotiation advice, and instructions for scheduling an appointment with Career Services.
