1098-T Information
1098T Tuition Tax Form Electronic Opt-In
Deadline: January 1, 2025
SUNY ESF has partnered with ECSI, offering you the opportunity to receive your 1098-T Tuition Statement electronically this year. If you would like to receive your 1098-T form electronically, please give your consent by following the link provided below and following the step by step instructions. 1098-T’s will be provided by the end of January 2024. If electronic consent is not received by January 1, 2025, the 1098-T will be mailed to the current address on file. If you prefer the paper copy to be sent to you, please check your mailing address in your Student Portal and make any necessary changes.
1098-T Electronic Consent
The benefits to receiving electronic notification are:
- Online delivery provides access to the form 1098-T earlier than the traditional mailing process.
- Online delivery eliminates the chance that the 1098-T will get lost, misdirected or delayed during delivery, or misplaced once the student receives it.
- Signing up for online delivery is easy and secure.
- Students can receive their 1098-T form while travelling or away their home address.

- Follow the step-by-step instructions on the web form.
- For School name please select SUNY ESF
- For Student ID use your Banner ID starting with F
- Check the box and click submit
If you have not set up your profile, you will need to Register first.
Follow all the prompts. When asked for your Student ID, please provide your Banner ID that starts with F.
To receive your Heartland Key, you will need to reach out to them via online chat or call 888-549-3274 Mon – Fri 8am – 8pm. Every student has a unique key number.
***You will not be able to access your 1098T forms unless you have provided your Heartland Key code and connected your accounts.
