Undergraduate Admissions
Visiting the Ranger School
Located in the northwestern Adirondack Mountains near the hamlet of Wanakena, the SUNY ESF Ranger School provides a unique educational experience in a spectacular natural setting. The Ranger School offers Associate in Applied Science (A.A.S.) degree programs in Environmental and Natural Resource Conservation, Forest Technology and Land Surveying Technology. A Ranger School A.A.S. opens doors to forest, natural resource or surveying technology careers, or can be an experience-based step toward a Bachelor of Science degree. A.A.S. students spend the second year of their program at the Ranger School after completing first year coursework at the ESF main campus in Syracuse, or at a college of their choice.
The Ranger School is currently open to visitors by appointment only. We can provide a virtual visit/tour of the campus.
If interested in visiting, in-person or virtually, please call (315) 848-2566 or email rangerschool@esf.edu to schedule.
