Commencement
Commencement is a milestone in which we celebrate our students’ achievements as they complete their academic journey at ESF. To mark the significance of this occasion and to help us honor our degree candidates, we are planning receptions, award ceremonies, and other festivities.
May 2026 Commencement Ceremony

Regalia
Undergraduate Regalia Pop-Up Shop
The SU Bookstore will be on-campus selling undergraduate regalia. Pre-ordering is
not required for this event.
April 15 and 16 | 10 a.m.–3 p.m. | Gateway North Concourse
Regalia Reuse Program
Alumni can donate gently used graduation regalia for soon-to-be graduates to rent and wear on their big day! By donating graduation regalia, you are keeping “single use” textiles out of the landfill and further fulfilling ESF’s mission to Improve Our World!
Donating Regalia
Regalia should be clean, gently used, and free of stains or heavy perfumes/colognes. Only donate ESF-branded graduation regalia. Donations can be made at commencement via a drop off bin at the Amp, on campus by bringing it to the Office of Sustainability (123 Bray) or using the donation bin in Moon and Gateway the week after Commencement or by shipping it to the Office of Sustainability: 1 Forestry Dr., 123 Bray Hall, Syracuse, N.Y. 13210.
Study Supply Donations
Moving after graduation and looking to lighten the load? The Academic Success Center is accepting unused school supplies for the Study Supply Station (Coming soon). Pens/Pencils/Markers, notebooks, index cards, post-it notes, rulers, binders; you study with it, we'll take it. Donations can be dropped off at 15 Moon.
Commencement Communications
Key communications regarding the May 2026 Commencement
In an effort to continue ESF's movement toward zero waste, and to ensure accessibility for those who cannot attend commencement, we will not be printing programs this year and will instead offer QR codes linking directly to the program online. Thank you for helping improve our world.
