ESF Athletics Celebrates Successful First Varsity Season
The Mighty Oaks varsity athletics teams gathered Dec. 2 for the second annual ESF Athletics Banquet, celebrating their fall seasons and the College's debut as a participant in officially sanctioned intercollegiate athletic competition.
Several players were recognized for outstanding accomplishments.
Women's soccer
Most Improved - Drew Gamils of Mount Vernon, N.Y., a sophomore environmental studies major
Most Valuable – Meaghan Dalton of Bangor, Pa., a junior landscape architecture major
Men's Soccer
Most Improved – Wyatt Jacobi of Amherst, N.Y., a senior natural resources management major
Most Valuable - Steven Tyrrell of Baldwinsville, a junior paper science engineering major
Women's Cross Country
Most Improved – Bridget Bromm of New Windsor, N.Y., a sophomore landscape architecture major
Most Valuable- Danielle Zgardzinski of Tully, a freshman conservation biology major
Men's Cross Country
Most Improved- Owen Hunter of Austin, Texas, a junior environmental resources engineering major
Most Valuable- Colin Bartholomew of Corfu, N.Y., a sophomore, forest and natural resources management major
Golf
Most Improved – Bob Moesch of Lake View, N.Y., a junior, chemistry major
Most Valuable- Matt Dennis of Saratoga Springs, N.Y., a junior landscape architecture major
The ESF Mighty Oaks would like to thank Allan and O'Hara, Inc., for its generous support in funding the second annual ESF athletics banquet. Allen and O'Hara are the developers of the College's first residence hall, Centennial Hall, which is under construction along Oakland Street.
