Mighty Oaks Soccer Players Named All-Americans

Four players honored from women's soccer team, two from the men's soccer team

Six Mighty Oaks student-athletes were named All-Americans at the 2014 USCAA Soccer National Championship Awards banquet held in Charleston, W.V. Nov. 5.

From the women's soccer team, first team All-Americans were sophomore goal keeper Kiki Hilmer, sophomore midfielder Heather Carl and senior midfielder Ashley Miller. Hilmer lead the nation in goals-against average (0.69 per game). Carl was tied for fourth in the nation in assists (11). Junior midfielder Bryony Striffler was named second team All-American. Named to the All-Academic team for women's soccer were Makayla McCormick, Miller, Kiana Morse, Ariel Roys, Kyna Sanchez, Megan Kuczka and Carl.

For the men's soccer team, first team All-Americans were junior midfielder Dan Mcgraw and senior forward Kyle Bardwell. Named to the All-Academic team for men's soccer were Eli Wildey and Christopher Kane.

All-Americans are nominated by their coaches and then voted on by coaches in the USCAA.

The women's soccer team finished its season with a 12-1 record and are the #2 seed in the USCAA Soccer National Tournament. The men's soccer team finished its season with a winning 9-7 record.
