The beginning of the end of the fossil fuel era takes center stage in Dr. Jack Manno's latest book, "Ending the Fossil Fuel Era." A book release party will be held 7 p.m., May 18 at ArtRage Gallery, 505 Hawley Ave., Syracuse.

Dr. Robin Kimmerer, a Distinguished Teaching Professor at ESF, addressed the United Nations General Assembly April 27, speaking for 20 minutes as part of the U.N.'s commemoration of International Mother Earth Day.

Students Launch Balloon into Global Competition

A high-altitude balloon, inflated with helium and carrying a payload of lightweight electronics, took flight today (April 29) from the ESF campus as part of a global competition.

Dr. Robin Kimmerer of the ESF Department of Environmental and Forest Biology has been invited by the president of the United Nations General Assembly to give a presentation at the U.N. Monday, April 27.

ESF among Princeton Review’s Top 50 Green Colleges

ESF, one of only two SUNY schools to make the list, was ranked No. 33 in the recently released list. The college is lauded for its specialized study options within its various environmentally focused majors.
