Cazenovia defeats the Mighty Oaks
Coming off their first game after winter break, the Mighty Oaks weren't able to withstand a well-balanced attack from Cazenovia College as they fell 83-60 Jan. 9 at Cazenovia's Competition Gymnasium.
The Wildcats nailed five straight three-pointers within the first five minutes of the game, jumping out to a 19-point lead with 14 minutes left in the first half. At halftime Cazenovia led 42-26.
The early lead proved too much for ESF as the Mighty Oaks weren't able to overcome the deficit. Junior Ryan Caldwell finished with 16 points and 10 rebounds. Junior Jared Bard finished with 12 points.
The Mighty Oaks will be back in action at home (Institute of Technology) Saturday, Jan. 16, facing USCAA rival Alfred State.
