ESF WEATHER ALERT: Non-Essential Personnel Encouraged to Depart No Later Than Noon Friday, Dec. 23

Due to wind chill advisories and freezing weather expected in the Central New York region, supervisors should dismiss all non-essential personnel who are working on campus today no later than noon. Essential employees — including those who are responsible for clearing and removing snow, and ensuring public safety — are still required to report to their scheduled shifts. Anyone concerned about their safety should contact their supervisor.

ESF encourages its community members to travel safely and take proper precautions when traveling to/from work.

ESF monitors and assesses the weather by reviewing the most up-to-date National Weather Service data and forecasting, and in consultation with Syracuse University officials, SU's independent meteorologist, ESF University Police, and the ESF Grounds/Snow Removal crews.

Any change in ESF's operating status will be announced with the notice ESF WEATHER ALERT through the following channels:
