Blog: Meet Shannon
an Environmental Science major who’s all about protecting the planet and the people who depend on it.
She’s studying watershed science, minoring in marine science and environmental writing, and spends plenty of time waist-deep in lakes and streams doing the work she loves.
At ESF, sustainability isn’t just a buzzword — it’s part of everyday life.
- Compostable café items + recycling bins in every building
- Hands-on classes that take you into the field
- Opportunities to lead — like becoming an EcoRepresentative
- A community that shares your passion for the planet
At ESF, sustainability means supporting communities, protecting ecosystems, and fueling your passions. Whether you’re studying sturgeon, practicing taxidermy, or leading campus change, you’ll gain experiences you can’t get anywhere else.
