Meet the Faculty - Jennifer Goff
Jennifer Goff shares how her passion for environmental microbiology led her to ESF, where the close-knit community and strong focus on environmental research made it the perfect fit. She talks about teaching biochemistry and how she designs her courses to move beyond memorization, instead creating inquiry-driven, research-based experiences that help students think critically and connect the material to bigger questions.
She also explains how her research on microorganisms and environmental stressors, like heavy metals, ties directly into her teaching and gives students meaningful, hands-on opportunities. What excites her most about ESF is the combination of small class sizes, supportive peers, and highly engaged students who are just as passionate about science and the environment as she is.
