SUNY ESF
Parking
SUNY ESF has moved to an electronic application for most of our parking permits. Parking Services has been established to make your experience with obtaining parking passes, permits and anything related to our campus parking more efficient and enjoyable.
Parking Permits
Overnight Parking on Campus
If you must leave a vehicle on campus overnight because of a field trip, mechanical failure or other unusual circumstance, you must contact us and register your vehicle in our Overnight Vehicle Logbook. We will direct you where to park or provide you other information. If it is after the Parking Division hours, please contact the University Police Department. Cars left overnight on campus without University Police Department permission are subject to ticketing and towing.
Parking Exception Process
We will approve your request if a government issued Accessibility Parking Permit is provided.
For injuries and other requests we will forward any medical documentation to the ESF Student Health Center for review and determination of need. Following that review, medical staff will provide recommendations to Parking Exceptions.
If the request is approved and ESF cannot meet the access need, we will refer the applicant to the Accessible Transport Supervisor at Syracuse University. The applicant will need to provide justification and details regarding the application.
If the request is approved and they are offered a parking option through ESF but the student does not believe what is offered fully meets their need, we will refer the student to the Accessible Transport Supervisor at Syracuse University to discuss general transportation options available to any student.
If the student's request is not approved, and the student disagrees with the decision and wants to appeal it, they will follow the ESF appeal process.
