Summary (what you get)
ESF provides all students, faculty, and staff with an ESF e-mail account and Syracuse University (SU) provides you with an SU e-mail account. Both accounts are accessible from most devices, browsers, and e-mail applications. For easy access to both e-mail accounts it is recommended you use an e-mail application and add both accounts.

- Calendaring with polls and sign-ups
- Access to a directory of email accounts at ESF and other SUNY campuses
SU e-mail
Service Does Not Include
There are various service limits designed to protect the email sesrvice and detect anomalies such as compromised accounts.

E-Mail Lists
Summary (what you get)
ESF provides you with access to e-mail distribution lists and discussion lists (Listserv) are provided by Syracuse University to facilitate large scale communication. Distribution lists and listserv discussion lists provide students, faculty, and staff with more options, consistency, and clarity in communication to specific groups.
Service Includes
ESF distribution lists
These lists are for the distribution of announcements or information related to the academic and operational needs of ESF. These lists have been setup so students, faculty, and staff are automatically added to the list that aligns with your affiliation to the college.
ESF Custom lists
Custom lists can be requested to use as a mechanism to distribution information or foster discussion. Any changes to the custom list need to be submitted to the helpdesk. For a self-managed solution, check out the SU Listserv.
SU Listserv
Syracuse University provides active faculty, staff, and students access to Listserv, a tool for creating and managing mailing lists for groups, clubs, e-mail newsletters, announcement lists, discussion groups, etc. Learn more about Listserv at Syracuse University.
When You Receive It
ESF distribution lists are updated automatically from student and human resource records.
ESF custom lists can be requested by contacting the CNS helpdesk.

Junk E-mail Prevention
Summary (what you get)
The anti-spam junk e-mail system prevents spam mail from clogging up your ESF e-mail inbox, which reduces your chance of clicking on malicious links or having a virus on your computer, while still allowing you to control what is filtered.
Service Includes
- Ability to view filtered messages
- Release legitimate e-mails that have been filtered
- Add or remove addresses from the allowed and blocked lists upon request
When you receive it
Students, faculty, and staff can view filtered messages any time by logging into https://security.microsoft.com/quarantine.
