Internet Access

Summary (what you get)

ESF provides internet access to students, faculty, staff, and the community through a variety of wireless networks and one wired network.

Service Includes

Evergreen

This is the wireless network for students, faculty, and staff. Individuals must enter their ESFiD and ESF password to connect to this network. Evergreen is intented to provide faster speeds, access to all the services on the ESF network, and enhanced security. Once connected to Evergreen your device is set and will automatically reconnect wherever you are on campus. Evergreen is available at the Syracuse Campus, Ranger School, Cranberry Biological Station (CLBS), and Warrensburg Pack Forest

ESF-Guest

This is the wireless network for guests and vistors to the Syracuse main campus who need access to the internet. This network will only provide access to the internet and not to any internal ESF resources. If your device loses connection, you will need to reconnect to the network.

Wired

CNS provides wired ports in almost all campus buildings, including student resident halls. This is the most reliable method for staff and faculty to access ESF network resources. Wired network is available at the Syracuse Campus, Ranger School, CLBS, Lafayette Rd, AEC.

Remote Campus Networks

The networks at the remote campuses, if available, are more varied. Some of the campuses, noted above, have similar networks to the Syracuse Campus.
