The Trevor Project Lifeline

The Trevor Project Lifeline is free, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. It is the leading national organization providing crisis intervention and suicide prevention services to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and questioning (LGBTQ) young people ages 13-24. Chat and texting available.

Trans Lifeline

Trans Lifeline is a non-profit dedicated to the well-being of transgender people. It is a 24/7 peer support phone service run by trans people for trans and questioning peers. Call if you need someone trans to talk to, even if you’re not in crisis or if you’re not sure you’re trans.

Vera House – Syracuse

Vera House provides a 24-hour crisis support, information, and emergency shelter for those involved with domestic violence and sexual assault. Vera House offers counseling and advocacy services for survivors of domestic violence.

Free 24/7 support at your fingertips. The goal is to get you to a calm, safe place. Sometimes that means providing a referral to further help, and sometimes it just means being there and listening. A conversation usually lasts anywhere from 15-45 minutes.


The CONTACT Hotline is 24/7, free of charge, anonymous, and confidential. This community service offers telephone counseling, crisis intervention, and referral to persons in distress or crisis. Certified volunteers assist callers with a wide range of problems and issues.
