ESF Professor Dr. Wendong Tao Receives SUNY Technology Accelerator Fund Award

Dr. Wendong Tao, a professor in the Department of Environmental Resources Engineering at the SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry (ESF), is one of eight researchers in the 64-campus SUNY system to receive seed funding through the Technology Accelerator Fund (TAF). The awards were announced Sept. 15 by SUNY Chancellor John B. King, Jr.

ESF — one of the nation’s premier colleges focused exclusively on the study of the environment, developing renewable technologies, and building a sustainable future — was also ranked the No. 2 college for being environmentally conscious and among the best colleges in the Northeast.

The New York State Center for Sustainable Materials Management Hosts Inaugural Symposium: Elevating Solutions Together

The Center for Sustainable Materials Management (CSMM) is hosting an inaugural symposium on Sept. 20 to bring together experts, thought leaders, and innovators to explore the latest advancements in sustainable materials management. Elevating Solutions Together — which will examine the industry research solutions, policies, and funding to help achieve a circular economy — will be held 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Gateway Center at the SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry (ESF).

ESF Marks the Successful Conclusion of the Inaugural Class of the Chancellor’s Summer Research Excellence Fund

ESF President Joanie Mahoney today celebrated the successful conclusion of ESF’s 2023 Chancellor’s Summer Research Excellence Fund internships. ESF was one of the initial participants of the Summer Research Excellence Fund, along with Binghamton University, University at Buffalo, SUNY Polytechnic Institute, and Stony Brook University.
