SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry will be participating in the SUNY Student Statewide Financial Aid Day again this year. This service is designed to facilitate completion of the main federal and state financial aid applications. SUNY ESF financial aid professionals will be available to provide assistance in completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), which is required for all financial aid, and the New York State Express TAP Application (ETA).
Program Agenda
Please note that the program at SUNY ESF is primarily designed to assist with FAFSA completion and answer any associated questions. Students or families interested in a more detailed presentation of general financial aid information may wish to consider attending a local high school's "Financial Aid Night" or one of SUNY ESF's Open House events.
- 8:30 a.m. - 9:00 a.m. - Check-In Time
- 9:00 a.m. - 9:15 a.m. - Welcome and Session Overview
- 9:15 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. - Financial Aid Assistance and FAFSA Completion
- Individual counseling will be provided as necessary to address specific questions and concerns.
- ***Guests are asked to arrive NO LATER than 9:00 a.m. to allow sufficient time for application completion***
Directions
- New York State Thruway (I-90) west to exit 36 for I-81 south.
- I-81 south to exit 18 for East Adams Street (follow signs).
- Turn left onto East Adams Street; proceed two blocks to Irving Avenue.
- Turn right onto Irving Avenue. Follow Irving Avenue to the end.
- The ESF campus entrance is on your left, next to the JMA Wireless Dome.
- I-81 north to exit 18 for East Adams Street.
- Turn right onto East Adams Street at the end of the exit ramp.
- Proceed two blocks to Irving Avenue.
- Turn right onto Irving Avenue. Follow Irving Avenue to the end.
- The ESF campus entrance is on your left, next to the JMA Wireless Dome.

Parking
Proceed to the ESF Campus entrance at the south end of Irving Avenue. Follow Forestry Drive onto campus and take a right onto Campus Drive, going away from the JMA Wireless Dome. Bear right at the split onto Campus Drive West. Financial Aid Day guests should park in Lot P17, which will be on your right, as indicated on the map. Overflow parking is also available in any other campus lot, noted by P# on the map. Standard parking and driving laws are always in effect. Please enter Baker Laboratory using the southern entrance (Lot P17) or through the east entrance to Jahn Laboratory and follow the indoor tunnel to Baker Laboratory. Construction on campus may disrupt some sidewalk areas, so we ask that you be cautious and comply with pedestrian pathways when redirected around construction areas.

Be Prepared!
Prior to arriving at the Financial Aid Day session, it is highly recommended that you complete the following:
- Obtain a Federal Student Aid ID (FSA ID) for the student and at least one parent. FSA IDs can be requested online. Please request your FSA IDs early, as it can take
a minimum of three business days for activation!
Get FSA ID - Review the FAFSA information. You may also want to review Completing the FAFSA.

Note: You will need your 2023 Federal and State Tax Returns in order to complete the FAFSA and TAP applications at this workshop!
