Arbutus Great Camp

Huntington Lodge at the Arbutus Great Camp

The Arbutus Great Camp, originally a collection of 16 buildings located on Arbutus Lake, was designed by William West Durant and sold to Archer Huntington in 1899.  Significant historic structures include Huntington and Arbutus Lodges, Algonquin Cabin, and the magnificent stone Carriage House.

Huntington Lodge underwent a major renovation between July 2008 and October 2009. The former "owners cottage" is now a stunning facility in which to hold small meetings and retreats, and able to sleep eight to ten guests in rustic comfort.

Additional plans for the camp include conservation of historic features, new landscaping and renovation of Arbutus Lodge, the Carriage House and other buildings.
