Every click counts at the SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry (ESF) where students have transformed routine web searches into a global tree-planting effort, already adding 388 trees to forests worldwide. Led by Oakie’s Green Team, a sustainability-focused student group, ESF is leading the way to make internet searches greener SUNY-wide.

Severe Weather Alert: Non-Essential ESF Employees Encouraged to Telecommute

Due to anticipated severe weather conditions in Cayuga, Onondaga, Oswego, and Wayne counties, on Friday, Jan. 2, New York state agencies, including the SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry (ESF), are instructed to have non-essential employees who live or work in these counties telecommute for the entire workday where possible.

Manganese peroxidase, an enzyme secreted by fungi to degrade wood and other tough materials in their environment, has been crowned the coolest enzyme, thus taking the title Enzyme of the Year at the SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry (ESF).
