The SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry (ESF) will award 110 degrees, including 14 master’s degrees and eight Doctor of Philosophy degrees, during the 2023 December Commencement at 3 p.m. Dec. 8 at Hendricks Chapel. A reception will follow at ESF’s Gateway Conference Center.
SUNY ESF Flood Recovery Research Earns Nearly $800,000 in Funding through National Science Foundation’s Civic Innovation Challenge

A research team led by Dr. Jamie Shinn at the SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry (ESF) was awarded $787,000 from the National Science Foundation (NSF) and advanced to Stage 2 of the NSF’s Civic Innovation Challenge for its work to help drive climate-change adaptation in communities affected by flooding.
ESF Cross Country Teams Make USCAA History with Three-Peat Championships

It’s a history-making three-peat for ESF’s cross country teams. ESF is the only school in United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) history to win three consecutive titles in the same sport for both women’s and men’s teams.
Governor Hochul Announces SUNY, University of Puerto Rico Agree to Five-Year Collaboration

During the 2023 SOMOS Puerto Rico Conference, Governor Kathy Hochul today announced that the State University of New York Chancellor John B. King, Jr. joined University of Puerto Rico Vice President of Academic Affairs and Research Dr. Oreste Quesada, who represented President Luis A. Ferrao Delgado, to sign a five-year collaboration between the systems on shared priorities including student success, research, sustainability and social mobility.

The annual trash audit at the SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry (ESF) is an opportunity to consider what we throw away as garbage and what can find a second life as compost or recyclable materials. The Oct. 17 event took place under the guidance of the Office of Sustainability.
