Computing and Network Services
New to ESF

Welcome to the SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry. Below you will find information to help you with getting connected to ESF resources and information that might be helpful during your first few days at ESF. 

 Your ESFid or ESF username and password will provide access to ESF e-mail, Moon Library resources, Banner, OneDrive, Teams, Evergreen Wireless and many more services.

Students: want access to your most used sites on your phone? Check out the app list and download them to your phone.

Equipment

Faculty & Staff are provided a computer by their department but must meet SUNY ESF computer standards.

New students bringing their own devices can refer to our purchasing computer page for recommendations

Public desktop computers are provided for teaching, learning, & working in classrooms, computer labs, and the library

Teaching and Learning

MyESF for advising, grades, updating your personal information, etc.

Register for classes using MySlice at Syracuse University

Blackboard (the learning management system) resources for faculty and students

Zoom or Teams can be used for video conferencing and hybrid classes

Productivity

All Students, Faculty, & Staff have access to Microsoft 365, which includes Microsoft Office. Students: learn how to download it onto your computer

File storage options include network space and cloud storage like OneDrive

Public printers are available for all students, faculty, and staff. Faculty and staff can also print to departmental printers from ESF issued devices
