Sustainability at ESF
Student Clubs

ESF has over 40 clubs ! Many clubs include aspects of sustainability in their activities. However, there are two clubs in particular that are almost entirely focused on this topic. Do you want your club added to this page? Let us know!

Green Campus Initiative

GCI has a long history on campus! The Club was founded in 2008 and has been focused on building student sustainability knowledge and skills, both on and off campus. The club hosts DIY workshops, brings composting to students off campus (via the Compost Cab) and creates upcycled notebooks. Follow @GCIESF on Facebook and @gci.sunyesf on Instagram for the most up to date information about the club.

Email Co-Presidents Nicole Schepis and Rebecca Geneus for more information about the club.

SustainabiliTEAM was founded in 2018 and takes a more broad, campus wide view of sustainability. The club has conducted waste audits to help inform zero waste progress on campus and manages the Centennial Hall Move In/Out program, as well as the Reusable Plate Program. Email Director Lauren Jones and join the club on ESF Engage for more information about the club.
