Friday

Welcome Reception – 5:00 PM – meet other alumni and their families and enjoy a relaxing evening.
Dinner – 6:00 PM
Evening – 7:00 PM on: Bring your musical instruments for a fireside celebration!

Saturday

Breakfast, served in the Rich Lake Dining Center, where you’ll make a bag lunch for the day
Optional half-day tours include:

  • See current research and enjoy the woods and waters of Huntington Forest via a driving tour
  • Paddle a lake and take in some scenic views from the canoe
  • Take a guided fishing trip
  • Tour of the Upper Works mine and Adirondac ghost town, including ESF’s historic Masten House

Lecture – hear about exciting developments in field science and education, 85 years of research and history of the people and places of the Huntington Wildlife Forest.
Visit the Adirondack Interpretive Center’s trails, displays and more
Meet current students and staff for informal conversation
Barbeque – dinner on Rich Lake
Evening gathering and social

Either day

Explore the area on your own. Links and details for making advance arrangements will be available soon. Suggested options:

  • Hike Goodnow Mountain, climb the fire tower and take in the best views in the Adirondack Park!
  • Raft the Hudson River with an experienced outfitter
  • Newcomb Golf Course - hit the links and enjoy the High Peaks views
  • Bring your bike and cycle into the Historic Great Camp Santanoni (5 mile trip one-way)

And a short, scenic drive brings you to:

  • The Wild Center (Tupper Lake, NY, 40 minute drive)
  • Adirondack Experience (museum at Blue Mountain Lake, 30 minute drive)
  • Fishing at any publicly-accessible stream (link to DEC website; NYS fishing license needed)
  • Zipline/course at Adirondack Extreme (Lake George, NY 60 minute drive)
